Indian DTH market bound to grow at a rapid pace

Television viewing services in India has traditionally been currently provided mainly by two mediums--analog cable services & digital cable services (through the use of Set Top Box), however recently digital DTH services have seen a drastic increase in subscription.

Subscribers to India's six private direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV providers have been estimated to reach 54.52 million. The Indian DTH industry is estimated to have clocked USD 1.5 billion and is expected to reach USD 3.9 billion by 2017 and USD 5.3 billion by 2020 at CAGR. Of 17.09%. The key drivers for the growth are:-
